I did see one at the northern shooting show on the f16 and was unable to tell that the grain was fake,it did look quite good but the problem I have with this gun is that I have an f16 with grd 4 wood and the price difference between the two guns is only about £200.So for me personally I would pay the extra for the better wood

If you can buy for £200 then buy them,they are a nice boot,if paying £300 then look at other makes, have a look at out of the city,there is a sale on
