  7. This gun looks ideal! Do you own one of these? I would prefer it was wooden stock and black gun metal And being £400 the price is very good! I used to have a frenchi harrier but I regret selling it
  8. Can anyone recommended a budget steel proved o/u with 3" or 31/2" chamber?
  9. I think they hate me in the licensing department lol But I'm paying for a service and a good service I expect. If I didn't have my SGC I would have probably sat back and waited
  10. I sent the commissioner a few emails if you go back a page you'll see his reply
  11. Hi David I was in contact with basc and I done excactly what they advised me to do I.e talk to the commissioner and other stuff but it was told by BASC not to go down the complaining road.
  12. Yeah I'm getting pretty good with a sling shot lol
  13. The email from PCC Dear Mr P Following your further email below we have contacted Assistant Chief Constable Mason, who is the lead Officer for Firearms licensing. We were advised that Essex Police have utilised flexible working practices and an overtime budget to try and reduce the processing time, but it is recognised that there has been a significant increase in the administrative requirements. Therefore, further to discussion of the firearms licensing process at the Chief Officers Meeting Group held this week, it was agreed that 5 additional staff should be recruited to the Firearms licensing department. We were assured that Essex Police are making every effort to process applications as quickly as possible, and that to date, all renewal applications have been completed before the expiry date of the existing licence. Furthermore, those applications where a firearm or shotgun is directly relevant to the person's occupation (e.g. vermin control at Southend Airport) are prioritised. There is no further information that we can provide in relation to this matter. Should you remain dissatisfied with the service you receive please dial Essex Police switchboard on 101 and ask for the Quality of Service Team. They are open between 9 and 5 every day except Sunday. Yours sincerely Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner
  14. I asked the firearm supervisor if I could be fast tracked but she didn't answer my question, I emailed her again and she ignored me(very rude) so then I emailed mr mason and he put me in contact with chief inspector glen Pavelin and he did say I'd be considered along side people that need a license for there job then he continued to say that I made an agreement to only contact the department once a week, so I explained she never answered my question and that I'm paying for a service and if I have a question I expect it to be answered.
  15. All basc done was give me advise on what to say and what to ask the police crime comissioner, which resulted in the police having a meeting and employing more staff, I'll copy and paste the email
  16. Hi mate, yeah it was BASC that told me to contact the crimes commissioner and BASC told me to use pester power, but the licensing department seem to be sorting things out not by employing 5 new staff ect
  17. Chief inspector glen Pavelin is incharge of the firearms department and is a good person to speak to as the supervisor doesn't answer your questions and then tries to tell me to email once a week but I'm paying for a service and it's not a very good one
  18. I don't think it's a foot sign mate I'm approaching 6 months
  19. Police crime comissioner emailed me saying essex firearms are going to employ 5 more people to help with applications and the renewals are being done before they run out. The people that rely on the FAC or SGC for there job will also take priority, so I emailed them saying I do earn money for keeping the rabbits in check and I'm losing out on money and I can't get anymore land to shoot on without a FAC
  20. The applications that had there FEO visit in august are now being granted
  21. Hi mate I applied in May for a FAC and I wanted my SGC to run out at the same date, I saw the FEO end of September and I've been told another 4-6 weeks!!! They are processing in the order of the FEO visits and I was told they are processing august so it'll be a while before they get to you
