  1. Hi, thank you for the offer however it’s not worth my time for 100 carts. I should have put minimum swap of a slab in my original post so I apologise for that. Thanks again for your offer.
  2. By accident really ? Sounds good what have you got to swap for them?
  3. Hi, I have 2000 34g SG 12 bore Hull Three Crowns. They are 2.5 inch plastic cased fibres with RTO finish. I don't think i'll get round to shooting them so here they are. I would like to swap them for some decent clay carts Black Gold, Sovereigns or alike. Swap only not for sale. License holders only. Can meet around south Lincs or north Norfolk areas. Edited to say minimum swap is a slab. Regards SS
  4. 12 Gauge Barrel Wall Thickness Gauge. Made from stainless steel and aluminium, this gauge is used for accurately measuring the wall thickness of your shotgun barrels. Designed to be held in one hand and used vertically, the gauge is accurate to .001". The gauge can be zeroed using a grub screw on the probe arm allowing more precise setting than some other similar gauges. The direction the indicator faces can be adjusted and set depending on your preference. The useable depth of measurement is greater than 17" allowing long 34" barrels to be measured. The arms can be shortened and extended via 2 grub screws to increase rigidity and accuracy at shorter distances. To easily set the gauge at 15.1/8" which is ideal for 30" barrels have the flat ends of the arms sit flush with the rear face of the aluminium block. To do this stand the gauge on a flat surface with the arms extend vertically upwards and then tighten the grub screws. The dial indicator will be shipped in its own protective container within the main package in order to ship it safely. As such the gauge will need assembling by the buyer. This is a very easy process and requires the use of only one 3mm Allen key. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I sold a gauge like this that had less adjustability for the same price so this is a good deal. This will take other gauges should you wish to use a metric dial for example. £150 Posted. Thanks for looking. Regards SS
  5. Thanks I think it is a nice thing but would much rather it had some use than hang on my wall.

I sold a gauge like this a few weeks ago for the same price but would consider this a superior gauge due to its adjustability. £150 Posted. Thanks for looking. Regards SS

  11. Thanks for the positive comments . There are definitely worse ways to spend a Wednesday.
  12. Evening all, I went over to The Priory CTC at Sutton Bridge last Wednesday to check it out, and on my 4th round of skeet my gun decided it didn't want to open up properly. I pulled the forend off and the end of the cocking spur had snapped off . This is a common fault with these guns as the design means there is a lot of pressure against a very small part. The guns a Medalist and spares are pretty much unavailable, which leaves me no option but to make the part myself. This is what the part looks like and where it belongs normally. You can see in this pic it snapped at the weakest point which is very very thin. First thing was to find some decent stock to make the new one out of. I needed something ASAP and had a length of EN16T. It should be ok as its a decent grade and able to withstand quite a bit of punishment. Unfortunately the bar stock is 30mm Diameter and the piece i need to make is 35mm long so it would require lots of material removal. I secured the piece on my lathe and rough milled it into a more appropriate block. You can see in the pic below the spur is concave on the top so i needed to cut this into the new one. I think the radius of the original is about 20mm but the largest ball nose end mill i had was 16 but i just ran it across twice to widen the groove. I then cut the 2 grooves apart which means i can make another fairly quickly should i need to. At this stage i took one of the blanks to the bench grinder for more bulk material removal. Once i had the width i put a radius on the end to fit the slot correctly. At this point it was back to the grinder to bring the head into shape and time to drill and tap for the screw that hold it in position. And Finally the spur fitted in its new home. I polished the the face to reduce friction. Ive cocked and dry fired it several times and inspected the spur and it seems to be absolutely fine. Not a bad days work, just in time for more shooting . Regards SS

  14. 2 now sold 7 still available. Regards
  15. Price includes delivery and original post updated to reflect this. Proven design in that it uses the same angle of taper 3.8deg used by another very successful manufacturer. Grade 303 stainless. There are more corrosion resistant grades of stainless available, however this will last a lifetime if looked after. Regards SS Sorry these are first I've made
  16. New 12 bore tapered choke key made entirely from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long life. These are made to a proven and reliable design that will operate all chokes from Full to Cylinder. These choke keys will last a lifetime (literally) if looked after. They will certainly outlast any of the plastic keys for sale on eBay and most likely anyone who buys one. Probably the cheapest steel choke keys on the market and a purchase you will only have to make once. Any questions please ask. Other gauges available please DM me. £18.30 Delivered
