  1. Just been watching this programme and can not believe how much some things are worth and what people would pawn. £12000.00 for a handbag :/

small change for the bag the most expensive handbag in the world costs over 100,000 US dollars!

  2. I have both Henry and Dyson - Henry over Dyson every time. The Henry has taken a lot of abuse with cleaning up after decorating, pulling plaster off walls etc etc and still works extremely well. The Dyson was used in my absence one time by the husband who used is to pick up filler dust and clogged it beyond repair.

  3. I don't use the soap drawer I prefer tabs. My hand fits perfectly into the seal, very clean. I also have a very thin soft brush which I can get in their to assist anything that dares to stick. As it happens I tend to have a new machine every couple of years as it gets used a lot.

  4. She's a nurse, she been treated horrendously not given the surrsport or training to help do her job, yet another nurse who has it, has been treat differently given tools to help her do her job.

It really stinks but fortunately myself and her mother are very good a these things and there's been a catalog of errors by the NHS, we have pulled every thing apart, there's been things they accursed her of, serouse things yet never done any investigations as these have been made to sound worse than they actuley are.

    Good luck with it all.

  5. My miss's has it, she went through school, collage and uni with being diagnosed, she had some problems at work and was tested and it turns out she has it bad. Unfortatuly her work has done nothing to help and aid her, but has done every thing they can to push her bout of the job.

She's currently off sick with stress whilst a claim of unfair treatment bullying etc goes through.

what type of work does she do. I am in senior management in a private nursery/primary - two of my staff are dyslexic - one is a nursery teacher and the other is the SENCo (special educational needs co-ordinator) both are bloody good at their jobs - I just make sure that their written work is in order for them and correct where necessary and if they have difficulty in class then their colleagues help out. With a bit of co-operation it should not stop anyone working, makes me livid.

  6. I had my gun fitted - initially went to have the fitting which was about an hour of twiddling with the special gun (don't know what they call it) but loads of moving parts and using a pattern plate with my gun and having them watch me mount and shoot at different targets then it went off to gunsmith as I needed some length off my stock and the stock needed to be re-shaped a bit to allow for lady bits. Cost was approximately £250 for both. Probably cheaper outside of London area.

  7. What gets me is i would really like to be able to sit and get into a book and read it from start to finish but it takes so much time and concerntraition that by the time i have finished it if forgotten about what happened in the previous chapter and i struggle to pick up the moods and charictors that are portraied in them so i give up and just read magizine articles which are short and easiler to follow.

Dougy your right.......... how ever you can right click and save the image and then view it seperatly ! LOL Looks like it was taken at the hotel we went to last year in the dominican :P

Salop there are many audio books now that can be downloaded, some you pay and some are free also libraries hold audio books - just a thought.

  8. I heard only good looking people get em ! so that means I am immune :good: .

On the subject of underwater crabs & what they eat it is a little known fact that that they will eat all sorts of things that fall into the sea & that goes for shrimps too ! .

ps sadly every year people are lost at sea

Shrimps and prawns YUK nasty crunchy things who do have questionable food sources.

  9. One day we are all going to be old, lets see what you say when they are trying to take your licence away,

At the moment you will say it wouldn't be a problem, wait until it happens to you

Yes there are some elderly people who shouldn't be driving, but they are there in all age groups,

As for the disabled not being able to walk to their destination?

That's why some of them have modified cars,

Being disabled shouldn't preclude you from having a licence

I too rant at some drivers, but it will happen to us all one day

    Just my opinion..... :shaun:

You beat me to it. I would be interest to know at what age you are considered no longer capable? My dad and mum are 78 and 79 and both still drive daily and I have no problem them driving my daughter around. In fact I think both are far more active physically and mentally than a lot of people in their 60s.

  10. Respect for others views is just that you don't have to agree with them but when you are choosing for another person's life e.g. Your child's I think it would be better in certain religions, no all religions for that child to have freedom of choice and that only comes after you grow up and can effectively take charge of your own life. There should be some sort of coming of age when you can choose and up to that point treatments such as this should be allowed regardless. I would die for my child, I simply cannot understand a parent who would not want their child to live.

  11. Depends what it is, I wouldn't risk chicken or seafood.

We are currently using raspberry coulis which ran out in February and it seems fine to me :)

Yes I think I would think twice before using out of date chicken or fish even to the husband. :)

  12. I live in an urban area and the foxes are a problem but not because people deliberately feed them but because of the idiots who do not secure their rubbish properly and the takeaway places that seem to overfill their bins and the litter louts that throw their uneaten takeaway in the streets.

  13. Anything past sell buy date, gets a sniff and if smells okay gets fed to the husband. I am too fussy myself to eat most things that have gone past the sell buy date. although I did watch a programme quite a while back that stated most items could be eaten beyond their sell buy dates.

  14. I had similar thoughts when getting my sgc, already had a 18month old and although swmbo was supportive of my hobby had reservations,as every1 else says common sense and their not shocked at what their used to seeing from an early age, already got my eye on a toy sxs with ejecting shells for when hes a bit older to teach safety

My daughter had a toy shotgun with ejecting carts from the age of about 3 yrs and loved to follow her dad around.

  15. I have smacked my child both on the hand and the back of the legs and I have sent her to her room and at 17 yrs apart from the odd strop she is well behaved and knows how far she can push it. I have never whacked her ever at any age because quite frankly I would not like to be whacked so don't see why she should be subjected to that. we have a rule in our house which is really something I have obviously followed on from my own parents way of doing things and that was parents are a team and back each other up but when it came to a smack only I ever dealt that out. My husband never touched her physically at all for punishment, he would let her know if she was out of order but mostly I deal out punishments. I would not tolerate it - touching her by way of punishment, maybe that is a kind of one rule for one and one rule for another but that the way I am. also when her Dad tends to get involved she knows she has gone way too far.

  16. May I suggest a theory as an unseasoned shooter. With DTL the scores are always very high in most classes at registered shoots. I think most C class shooters will wait until they are able to give a fairly decent score before competing. I actually quite like DTL but for me I only really get to do it when I am on holiday at Xmas in Wales and occasionally when I go to Dartford the rest of my shooting is ESP every weekend so I am not someone who is building up my DTL hit rate. I can only hit an average of about 16 to 20 out of every 25 so nowhere near enough if I was that competitive minded to stand a chance of coming anywhere in a competition when you see the usual results are 98/99/100 for those that are dedicated to their discipline. Might be wrong.

Took the word even out as it was not needed.
