39 Norma 22/250 brass. once fired. needs full length sizing and tumbling as it looks like its been cleaned in a sonic cleaner and turned the brass dull.
£20 can post at buyers cost.
90 Winchester nickel cases in 22/250. once fired. again needs cleaning full length sizing. £25 post extra.

A cracker. Good catch that mate well done

Hi Jamie I tried these in my old .22/250 tikka 595 that was a 1 in 14 twist and they shot sub half inch groups sent at 3300+ fps, shot roe with them and they performed
ok.
cheers swift i will get some to try then. i could try 55 grain game heads and 60 grain nostler partitions]
but these hornady bullets are cheap. and i would think they would do the same job
-
free floated barrels often aid accuracy. because if there isn't anything touching the barrel. so there is nothing to affect harmonics
but some rifles are pressure bedded and floating them can cock up accuracy.
i dont know about the older rifles like yours and im sure someone will be along to tell you.
if it shoots well and your getting good accuracy.i would leave well alone
-
that is a nice beast. i bet your made up with that.
well done

hi has anyone used the hornady 60 grain softpoints in there 223 or 22/250.
of course in the 22/250 you need a 12 twist as most 1 in 14 twists wont shoot anything above 55 grain bullets.
reason i ask im looking at trying some for the muntjac and wanted to know if anyone uses them and how you find them ?
all though there cheap the bc doesn't look to bad. and I would think they would be a lot more suited to the small deer.

hi mate what profile is the barrel ?
you could get some of these http://www.jjkshootingsupplies.co.uk/products/burris-2-piece-xtreme-scope-base-sako-to-weaverpicatinny/767/
and then get some weaver style rings to suite your scope hight. depending on barrel profile. i would still say you will need high
if you go down this route. best thing about this is you can then but which ever 34mm rings you want. i would look at the tps rings there superb.
i have just got some of these bases to fit weaver style rings on my m695 tikka. and I much prefer them to the optiloc rings and bases.
-
i think they would be more popular over here bob. but alot of people go for 243 or 243 ai because there is more choice of better brass out.
-
both good calibres. 223 is cheaper to run and uses less powder. i had the same choice when going for a centrefire and went for the 22/250.
imo best foxing calibre out there

bob lots of info on reloading for the 6mm remington on the net. google is your friend
-
if your reloading take the 17 rem over the hornet. lovely light recoiling super fast round. very accurate.
17 rem or 17 remington fireball both are great

nice one you wont go wrong with a zeiss
-
zeiss victory, good choice of ret's to pick from.
stunning glass day or night.
-
go for it if the zeiss is a good price. there isn't much in the top end makes. I prefer zeiss though. I have a couple of zeiss scopes and a fixed mag s&b Hungarian
and well its superb i think the zeiss just pips it.

14 inches? Thats short?! I agree on the limits on though.
I already have a mod so not an issue.
14 inches is what barrels they put on the factory annie 1417 rifles. I have one its very light, compact and accurate
-
try the 53 grain vmax.
-
get it chopped to 14 inches. threaded, and crowned, get your ammo limit up to buy 500 keep 600
your also need to have a slot for the mod
