  1. i have a set of optiloc tikka blued rings and bases. there in good condition. one has a little mark on the base but nothing you can really notice.

the rings are 25 mm low. £65 posted to your door. these fit m590 and m595 and also the tikka t3 rifles.

bausch & lomb 3x9x50 scope chief made in japan. great clear optics. these are old scopes but the optics are superb and clear.

the cross hair is a standard zplex retical.

the scope itself has some ring marks and a couple of scratchs on the body. nothing major. the rear lens has some specks of dust to. you cant really notice them unless you look down into the back lens. when looking through out in the garden etc you cant see them.

these really are good underated scopes. and knock spots of scopes costing 200 and odd pound.

due to the marks and dust specks £75 posted. it will also come with buttler creek caps.

ideal rimfire or even a woodland stalking scope

  2. i had a annie 1417 thumbhole stocked 22lr off him. with 2 ten shot mags. mounts and a cheap scope. plus a mod.

when the rifle turned up the mag and barrel was very dirty. i would at least clean them before selling them.

but to be fair once cleaned the rifle was mint and the price i got the rifle and extras for was a bloody bargain.

he works away all the time from what i can tell ?

its up to the buyer get something cheaper and have the pain of waiting or go else where and pay more but get it asap

    i prefer the bargain !

  3. I will get some today when im home and put them on. If you look on the site in the mean time your see the model.

I can assure you its like new.

i will include rmsd postage at that price to

  4. i wold do away with case lube and get the redding sizing wax instead it lasts ages and isnt messy like the lube.

as for the neck sizer well the cases are the right shape. you still need to neck size after firing the round in your rifle otherwise if you dont when you come to seat a bullet it will drop into the case !

as the other guys have said get someone to help you. learning and looking at posts can be hard when reloading. if someone shows you the ropes then it suddenly seams so easy once you have watched. they will help you set the dies up etc.

  5. fox pro firestorm as new used 4 times ! comes in box with manual and caller is loaded with 200 calls. i got it earlier in the year as a present from my other half.

but as im changing about my rifles i need to free up some much needed money. buyer collects or can post at cost.

£350 this is one of there top range models. some superb foxig calls on there. had them steaming into them.

  6. there very good rifles. some people slate the plasitc stocks on the tikka m595 and t3 and say they flex. there is a little flex in them but they dont change point of impact when a bipod is fitted like some of the cheaper stocks.

the tikka have very good actions and triggers. they feed very smooth from the single stack mags. and make great semi custom rifle actions if you rebarrel them in the future,

i have never owned the t3 but my mate had a t3 tactical and it shot superb.

i have had a number of the older m595 tikka's though and i think there superb. dont over look them if your buying a 223. they can be had second hand very very cheap.

    i had a m595 in 222 which was rebarreld into 17 fireball.

i then had a m595 in 17 rem which i still have, i had a m695 stainless which is the same action but long action in 270 that was nice. i sold it as it wasnt getting the use.

ive just got a m595 stainless in 243 ! off a member on here which i should get my hands on later this week.

as you can tell i really rate the tiika actions, get one you wont be sorry :good:

  7. As far as I am aware the only factory 20 calibre round is the .204 Ruger. The only 20 cal Remington I am aware of was a 5mm rimfire round which is now pretty much obsolete. There are some wildcats such as those mentioned above, but for factory ammunition the .204 Ruger is it. It will never be as as cheap as a .223 to run and invevitably components (brass, bullets and dies) will cost you more. Its a great round though.

cooper do a 20 tac. but there not cheap

  8. even with a open ticket when you come to renew in west mercia you still have got to have a piece of ground to put forward which is past for the calibres you have on ticket. it is silly isn't it.

my mate was shocked when his feo said is the ground past for the 243 you have on ticket. my mate said my ticket is open and has been for years.

the feo said you still have to have a permission that is past for your calibres. my friend was like why its open !! it doesn't need to be past.

i think its just to make sure your not telling porkys and still have a piece of permission before they renew your ticket. whats funny is the land past no problem. but soon as he got ticket back whats stopping him shooting on a little permission he has down the road which would have no chance of passing by feo. barmy made up rules

  9. With reference to the land being rated for .243. I had my visit from the feo today and told him the land was already rated for .243. He said it wasn't according to their records. Now this puzzled me, as when i had my first fac some ten years ago the feo met me out on the land and we walked it prior to him authorising me for up to .243!

Are you in Alcester in Warwickshire? I only ask as you're only up the round from me??

its because they have to recheck it every 5 years

  10. jamie west mercia are starting to get there act together mate and there becoming one of the better forces over night. i have never really had any problems with them. dont buy a rifle for the sake of it. you can easy do a one for one.

i go shooting with a couple of mates over the years in that time

we have used the following calibres

    17 fireball

    17 rem

    204

    222

    223

    22/250

    22/250 ai

    6 br

    243

and they all kill stone dead. if you put the bullet in the right place. :good: all depends on where you shoot also. for instant if you shoot on open windy areas then maybe a bigger calibre would suite your needs better ie 6 mm.

you have a 243 so using lighter rounds in that would save you money on buying a new rifle. no extra scope or mod to buy. your also have much less recoil with lighter 6mm foxing bullets like 58 or 65 vmax.. then you will using heavier 243 bullets.

one of the lads i shoot with has shot lots of foxes with his tikka t3 tactical. but he fancied a change and now has a 6 br and a 204. both very good in there own right.

the other lad i go with has a 222 and a 243. again both very good the 222 is nice to shoot. low recoil and great accuracy using 40 grain vmax or blizking reloads.

the 243 he used 58 vmax but now uses 75 hollow point reloads. as there is very little in drop out to normal foxing ranges. the 75's also hit much harder.

ive shot some rabbits with the 204 its a remmy light varmint. so it is fairly light and very fast firing the 39 grain blizking reloads. now imo all the talk of the very light recoil of the 204 is abit hit and miss.

my mates recoils about the same as the 223 he had. all depends on gun weight. the 223 was fairly heavy. the 204 is fairly light so that's more then likely why there close on the recoil front.

now i had a light weight 222 tikka m595 with a 18.5 inch barrel. it wasnt the flattest firing rifle because it only had mild reloads and a 18.5 inch barrel cuts fps down a good amount. but it was silly accurate. and great in the truck. rebarrel on that to a 17 fireball. shot a good number of foxes with this but the iffy feeding from this round on the action i was using. put me off that.so sold it.

i now have a 17 remington. its abit faster then the fireball. but feeds perfect. its light varmint. will spit the 25 grain bullets out to 4000fps easy so nice and flat shooting. what i like the most is the little 17 calibre rifles offer really low recoil. you can spot the hits on fox rabbit pigeons etc no problem. there not overly loud. and very rarely exit on foxes. which on some of the smaller shoots i shoot over is perfect. because it is fairly flat ground.

i also shot some foxes for a woman last year in a small holding using a 17 calibre. again no exit wounds makes it a lovely safe round. you still have to be carefull of course. but anything that cuts down on a chance exit on these shooting places is great in my book.

ive also had a couple of 22/250's still got the one. i don't think i will part with it. its deadly accurate. and the most accurate rifle ive owned. i only wish we could shoot roe this side of the border. because i wouldn't need to fill a 6 mm slot on my fac then.

depending on where you are your more then welcome to pop round if not to far away. and have a look at the different calibres. and some reloading for them. so you get a idea.

of what might suite your needs.
