  1. Hi gents,

Got a bit of a puzzling one with my Xtrail (2003 diesel). It's started really severely fogging up in rain/damp conditions, but won't demist, even with the blower on full. If anything, this makes it worse, and I can't see a bloody thing.

It also seems like the mist itself, especially when the blower is on, is a bit greasy & has a slight sheen to it, (but that just may be due to how grotty my car is).

Any ideas? It's proving itself to be somewhat dangerous when it starts to rain!

Sounds like you have water getting in somewhere. Cars always mist up when the inside is damp.

Lift as much of the carpets as poss and just have a good look and feel around for damp

  2.

now im thinking of not taking it off :lol: think ill give it a while before i make my mind up, its not like i dont like it :good::good:

Get a set of steps out, climb up and take a good look. You will see or feel any problems through the wrap! Any problems will be pretty obvious.

I didn't intend on frightening or putting you off, just kind of preparing you if the worst happens!!

  3. Just go steady if you are going to do it.
The last owner of mine left bird **** on the roof which caused a tiny amount of lacquer to go porous, moisture got in and under the paint. I was up there cleaning it and noticed it was sweating. Tiny drops of water were oozing through the paint when pressed!
It required a bare metal respray because the ally had pickled!!
Since this I have seen loads that have the same problem

  4. First thing for you to check out would be engine and gearbox mounts. While you are under there check uj's

With the remap they tend to be driven with a on off switch rather than an accelerator!! It can put a lot of stress on the basic things.

Mine is running around 175, it does take a bit to get use too

  5. I had a bird once that was a stoner.... most amazing intercourse ever, the things that girl wanted to do after joint hahaha

Dowm side was- afterwards she'd eat every last bit of chocolate and bag of crisps in a 50 metre radius lol

I laughed so hard snot came out my nose!!!! How to lighten the question

  6. My first experience with a Impreza sport wagon was knebworth house.

We had gone to watch the chilli peppers and expected quite a large crowd. I arrived as early as poss, they waved me down through to the parking. It was quite a slope right to the bottom poss 3 fields maybe a bit more.

As we stood waiting for it to start the heavens opened and it consistently rained all night.

Got back to the car and it was running off the fields, there was that top 3 inch layer of slop where 80000 plus were trampling.

It was mayhem cars stuck people were struggling, I fired the scoobie up and had a right giggle!!

There were big 4x4's struggling and a lot of stuck cars, not the Impreza, didn't bat an eye lid and it sounded pretty good doing it too!!!

I seem to remember top gear using a sport wagon, Hammond couldn't stop grinning

I have been in similar situations in my old disco before and it didn't cope anywhere near as well, just sinks in the slop!

  7. Another thing worth noting is instant energy release from food is not really from protein, think of protein as the building blocks for growth and repair, the body can convert it into energy if needs be but carbohydrates are used more for instant energy release, think eating a banana before going for a run, I believe dogs can also extract energy more efficiently from fats to.

Yep totally agree! It's all about a balanced diet

  8. So are we saying that my 18% job could effectively have more "good" protein than some that may quote 25% (for instance) ??

The easiest way to put it is the protein they can use or the protein they run off!! If you were to feed a kid on junk food it would be ok but generally either lethargic or off the scale, feed that kid a balanced proper diet and watch the difference!!

We spent hours and years educating ourselves on dog food and have tried a lot, what works for one doesn't mean it will work for another.

Best advice is, go back to basics and see where protein is gained from and work from there.
