If you don't use your left arm for nothing, you must use it for something. (Double negative)

No difference to walking across a field so do you remove the mag and bolt then. Not a dig but some people are over cautious stick to the law and you will be fine.
I would like my rifle to stay in my gun cabinet not in a police station better safe than sorry that's all I have to say on this subject don't want to start a argument

good advice above but be prepared to be patient as finding your own bit of stalking can be like chipping into granite with a plastic fork
very true

I always carry my rifle on a public road going from field to field never in a slip and never unloaded. I have been reported and stopped from time to time but as Im not breaking the law the police just go on there way.
I drop the mag out and leave the bolt open just in case something goes wrong no need for a slip

Nephew was told he is left eye dominant though right handed. He was told by every coach he had tuition from (mostly BASC coaches on YSD's to pick up the bird with both eyes open but to shut his left eye on mounting. He is a good shot. Apparently eye dominance can change over time. If you add something intended to attract the attention of your eyes to the end of your gun, then your attention isn't focused on the target, where it should be. They may work, but I don't see how personally. Has your coach advised you to get one?
Wasn't taught by a coach my dad told me the basics and let me loose on some pigeons when I was 14 was so I am basically self taught probably picked up some bad habit's. Its not like I cant hit a barn door I was just looking to improve

wish you had a pic of him when he was in his prime. Roe calling is great stand next to a tree and call i have had one come to 10 yards and just look me in the eyes and walk off amazing thing to see a animal so close. I just walked off and went home happy who says you have to pull the trigger to get some joy out of the sport.

the courses are only useful if your going to buy stalking from the forestry commission ect I was taught by my dad from a young age. My advise would get friendly with a local deer stalker and ask him to be your mentor when you apply for your firearms licence he should take you out and teach you the craft. if your close to me ill take you out for free.

The best way to learn is to be shown by a veteran. Anyone near Exeter want a couple days out on some stubble?

the more decoys you put down the better they come in I place 15 decoys down and swap the decoys out for the dead birds I end up with 20 odd birds in a long v shape with a magnet or flapper closer to the flight line to make them look at the pattern
