  1. It's a british thing when a car has done over 100000miles it's finished not true especially with today's cars go to Spain and look at cars there most with atleast 250k miles
  2. At a guess the met obviously have a laid back approach with their weapons or are conducting poor continuation training. And just one on the person who mentioned how poor the police was at shooting and they could do a 250mm group at 25m if that's true they should of been sacked as they wouldn't of passed their annual test.
  3. Get a FAC and get a 9+1 if you really want to never know you might get 10 birds at once haha
  4. Great video just proves what I mentioned before why have 2 shots on a U/O when you can have 3 or more
  5. Hi I im only just starting out so what I'm about to say have no experience backing it up but all I've gone for is 2 old army cam nets with four light extendible poles and and a pop up chair/ stool so I'm not popping my full body over the top and I think it's as simple as that for me high on the sides and back but so I can see in all directions.
  6. I can't say I've ever been to lichfield sorry
  7. Just one on the safety aspects I would feel much safer with a semi auto due to the fact less is going on when you do see something and want to fire. Less movement messing about snapping the barrel back together it's just in your should safety off and fire then safety on and point back in a safe direction or reload
  8. Lucky man denboy I haven't had the chance to fire 120mm closed I got was 30mm raden in the old scimitar. From the training you received have you found this helped you when you took up pigeon shooting and so on?
  9. This is all useful information I appreciate the difference in people's opinions every body has different views and this with the experience you all have is really helpful if it was facts I wanted I'm sure I could of just gone on Google
  10. So if you have experience with Benelli semi you should know exactly what auto's are like. Not really as you state lower down in your comment we use them for putting doors down and point man on patrol if you mean I should know how to use safely and maintain then yes. Rifles and shotguns are totally different well done I don't see me saying they have any similarities just one final point I don't think they will have been many javelins fired so very few will have fired such weapon in fact
  11. I have experience in a vast array of weapons from 5.56 rifles to javelin missiles but not much on shot guns apart from the benelli semi we get issued great fun:)
  12. I think scully has hit the nail on the head so no more safety talk haha as you can see I've decided a semi it is for me I like the Beretta so going down to churchils tomorrow to see if any fit me.i couldn't believe how cheap the baikal U/O are going for so I might even try pick one up cheap I think I could get both for around 550-600
  13. I've not seen many safety seeres or trigger bars break making the weapon fire it's a possibility just a very small one. I think from what I've read and heard from people is as they are not the traditional gun of choose as seen in most hunting photos every body is used to the snap barrel models I would love to see hard evidence of semis been less safe
  14. A wednesday or one day on the weekend is enough. towards winter do you get less people out wanting to shoot then?
