  1. I have never seen one but when I lived in Hertfordshire years ago I was very friendly with a man who was a badger warden at Ashridge and he had lots of stories about the big cats then. That was over thirty years ago though, I do believe a lot were released or escaped when they were fashionable pets ( and legal ) in the 60s and 70s.

That part of the world was full of the sort of poncey people and houses that would have kept them. I used to shoot a lot round there, and drink in the pubs. It was common to hear references made to them in conversations. I thought they were an accepted fact of life

also rammed full of deer round there isnt it but suring the day there are alot of dog walkers
  2. Going to look at a two 16 week old springer bitch pups what should i look out for. Do i pick the biggest and most outgoing one or what ive just oucked the one i liked best before but that was with my pet stafffies and id like some advice. The gamekeeper i know once bought the runt of the litter from a traveller site and that dog was brilliant so i havent a clue

  3. In my first year beating i was stood on the edge of a wood with a friend towards the end of a drive and people had kept saying about this one guy who was the landowners friend that he was shooting low. Anyway we felt the pellets pass us and you could hear them whistle by and we both dropped to the floor and shouted f ing hell the keeper saw this and kicked the guy off the shoot apparently he was ******. Could have been much worse but fair play to the keeper he stood up for us

  4. The truth if the matter is you dont know what you would do if in that situation he had already been beaten so maybe he tried to not give the guns up but after being beaten and his wife threatened thought better of it and gave them up. A guy i know who is seriously frightening person is 21 stone and is proficient in several martial arts and was a doorman for years always said to me the art of a true warrior is to live to fight another day. In other words fighting is the last resort

  5. Ive got a vectra 1.9 cdti 150 auto. I am not a boy racer and never have been im young ish but ive got a family so not particularly interested in racing about. My average over the last 50k is 46 mpg lowering was just a thought as the bluemotion cars are lower im thinking about having it remapped but im undecided whether or not id make the money back. If i can get it up to say 50-55 mpg average i may be able to buy another car a small 4x4 or a new sg the cheaper i can get to work the better as it means more money in my pocket obviously i cant get a diesel citroen c1 and get 80 mpg as i need the space of a vectra sized car to take the kids and dog out in also a c1 on the motorway im not sure would be the safest thing
