I agree when I used to shoot squizzers when I put that mixed bird seed down from home bargains it contained wheat , small amounts of sunflower seeds & other mixed bits never had interest the song birds loved it tho which was good .

As soon as I changed back to peanuts the squirrels arrived & once the feeder got established they would soon empty it if you weren't shooting it regularly

I use a mix of Home Bargains wild bird seed & the peanuts they sell, wich seem to attract everything from Jackdaws/magpies/jays/squirrels common woodpecker the local pheasant population + the odd munty as well as loads of different song bird types. For me it`s nice to see & help out the local wildlife & as a bonus bring down the numbers of vermin too

  2. Not sure who does the best prices, but I`m sure the quality will be the same wherever they are purchased from as they have to be safe. I have a 12 litre steel tank wich I keep at home for topping up ( wouldn`t want to carry that around everywhere due to weight ) & I also bought a carbon bottle I believe about 5L second hand off here, where the fittings weigh more than the bottle & make it more nose heavy, but still light. I`d imagine they all come empty due to postage laws as mine all had to be. I think if you read the  reviews of the new Chinese air compressors would make it an option for topping up a rifle/air tank.

  3. At Sywell 120 semi auto clay shoot you are catered for full use of the gun with a mixture of pairs & a single or 3 on report targets allowing you to use all 3 shots. Strange thing is though that I enquired about using my pump action, to be told they don`t allow them on the ground. I asked why that was ? As I would use a breech flag etc just as I would if using my semi-auto, but was just told they don1t allow it.

  4. The small internal battery is not rechargeable, but the IR battery is. It is easy to see why you may get mistaken, as the supplied charger is adjustable. It does looks as if you should be able to recharge both, but that is not the case. I`ve not had chance to look into how it works myself yet, but I just recharged the internal battery & put the non rechargeable battery in as back up.

Given there would likely be Golfers about shooting in the daytime on a Golf Course especially at this time of year is a very bad idea irrespective of the GL.  Pigeons and Crows don't damage Golf Courses.

I would say Crows do damage golf courses. I have seen where they along with rooks & jackdaws have dug up grass seeds & fairways looking for leather jackets. On our recreation ground outside my house they have dug great big holes all over the place as this year there seem to be loads of crane flys about.
