  1. There is no problem, my guns are with my mate who I go shooting with evey time, plus there’s a few tucked away.. if you know what I mean 🤔ha
  2. I will deffo look into that, the sooner it gets sorted the better. I work away all year round and the only time I get to spend with my guns is over Christmas when I get some good time off, but know the guns have gone it’s going to be out with the air guns instead of the shotguns 😞 cheers for the reply Marc. 👍
  3. My licence which runs out late December I had to send back to the feo, but I’ve been told to wait it out now to see what the outcome is on my renewel
  4. I agree totally with your response, much appreciated. Ummm it’s not the fact that’s its £110 it’s more of I can’t make a week day appointment with the GP for a full mot, and I’m still confused as to why I need to go over my GP’s when I’ve been told by my feo that o shouldn’t have to do anything as my GP will refere to my medical history, I said to him on the phone il pay the £110 but he said it don’t work like that you need to come over for a full mot. That’s what the phone call was mostly about until we both started to get a bit (arguable) over the phone. All I can do now is wait for a phone call/cost of the feo with his desicion on my renewel. Fingers crossed.
  5. That’s spot on John, a mate of mine told me about this forum and said get on there and see what info I can find. There’s plenty of tips and info wich are really helpfull 💯.
  6. I’ve been advised to get a record of my medical s myself and send them into the firearms dep and hopefully they’ll except that then. Top guy mr T 👍
  7. Who’s side of the fence are you in? I feel like I’m being interrogated by the fuzz 🤔 big up the shooting community of there is one.. I know it’s sad but it’s true, I know people with issues who have been granted with a sgc with no questions asked, and then you get a successful man like myself who get hit with a fee for no apparent reason, and when I don’t agree with it I get penalised, but like I said I can still use my beloved guns but under a different surcemstances.. win win 👍
  8. I work away and can’t make the appointment, but the doc doesn’t see a way around it, I don’t drink/smoke and haven’t been to my doctors for at least 15yrs not even for an headache tablet, but if I was an alcoholic or a drug user then they would accommodate my needs and absolutely free of charge. I strongly disagree with the system and the way the hard working tax payers are treated. Yes it’s only £110 and that wouldn’t even scratch ones days wage for me but it’s principal and I stand up for what I believe. If I got to supervised when I shoot then so be it, but I refuse to be Beatn and please or affend then so be it..
  9. Because the feo sent the medical request to my local GP, I’ve had no say in my renewal and the quack is demanding £110 from me, wich is no prob for me but it’s just principle to stand up for yourself and fight for what you know is right 😁
  10. Who knows gord? I might just be dreaming and wishing I had a shotgun licence 😉ha x If that floats your boat sunshine then you should go for it 👌...
  11. Does this site have a like button? Because I’m pushing that mother ****** 👍
  12. I will fully publish the email and the response I get once it has all gone through the correct procedure as I don’t want to jeopardise my licence and my future as a shooter. I hope you can fully understand this and respect the fact it’s a confidential matter, there is one other hobbie me and the wife want to take up and that’s dogging but I’m yet to read into it and see what it’s all about..
  13. I appreciate the response, I’ve phoned my FEO and I’m just waiting for a visit from him but it won’t be this side of Christmas which is a shame but they said it will be early on in the new year. Cheers charle..
  14. I hear what your saying but why should we be pushed into a coner and be demanded to pay a substantial fee when no one speaks up, that’s the thing these days no one will make a stand for there self and let people with authority boss them about, yes my licence has gone, and yes my guns have gone but on the plus side they’ve gone on to my mate who I shoot with anyway so I feel as tho o haven’t lost as I can still use my guns under his supervision..
  15. You’ve really made me think there, it probably is the best option for me to pack in the shooting and start a new hobby, but I’m not really into anything else. I was taught to shoot at a very young age by and elder friend and I just wanted to keep at it, you guys have helped me come to my senses that this ain’t working for me. I appreciate that aswell from well respected shooters like yourselves, I would of loved to be on your levels one day but hay how never mind. Cheers guys 👍
  16. And I’m fully aware of what your saying, but all I did was tell him I ain’t paying the fee as I’ve been advised by other professionals and now I’ve had my licence revoked because he’s gone and said I’ve been aggressive over the phone. There’s no way on earth I’m going to back down when I know I havnt done anything wrong, and like I said I’m previous posts hand on heart the firearms department said do not pay that fee and take it further, but because it’s cone from a doctor that I was aggressive on the phone to him it makes me look like a criminal and I will not back down form it, too much of that this country does!
  17. You just said it yourself, there’s 2 sides to every story. All I was looking for on here was a solution as in what I could do next and not a debate!!
  18. All this polavor happend on Friday, it’s now Monday and I’ve phoned to change surgery and it’s going through all the process of registering with a new surgery, just got to wait for the forms to be delivered to me to get the ball rolling.
  19. My GP wants £110 for my medical report. He’s an absolute clown of a guy aswell!!
