  1. What sort of cost for redoing the barrels?
  2. I have to say it could have been even better and there were a few impossible clays
  3. Thanks Wingman. I was pretty sure it shouldn’t be loose. I have a right angled thingumy so I will do as Westward suggests. Andy
  4. Thanks for the info. Just taken a look after your comment. I don’t see the tang screw is it hidden by the safety/barrel selector? Andy
  5. Hi Everyone I have taken the stock off my Beretta 692 Sporter to have a look at the action The screw at the back of the action that holds the trigger guard is loose, should it be? Photo below
  6. Thanks I can understand that argument, it sounds very sensible... I wont take them to the ground! Great feedback from experience, thank you how loud should I shout and do I need to be wearing my ear defenders 🤣 So in summary most people don't think I need to release springs for storage... In that case I have wasted £6 but I have wasted more on fishing gear that I don't use over the years. It would be interesting to hear from any gunsmiths if they think differently...
  7. That is what I am doing, believe me I need the practice....
  8. Hi All, I bet this opens a can of worms and opinions... As I have just bought my first gun (a Beretta 686E EVO) I read the manual and it states that when dry firing you should use Snap Caps. As they are adjustable how much tension should you feel on the cap? I guess there will be people who say you don't need to use them and others that say you don't need to release spring pressure for storage of the gun. As a newbie I am happy for any feedback on the subject. Thanks All
  9. thank you you bet..... I use them when fishing,,, I can throw a ball of groundbait 50+ yards and hit a tabletop
  10. So am I as you can see from my posts, I am better with a catapult at the moment..... I tag along with Manthing and a few others to a shoot just outside Penkridge, I am south of you so it is not too bad to jump 1 junction down the M6 on Sunday mornings.. I have also been to Doveridge, but not my favourite.... Millride is OK although quite a way south of you. As I said earlier I pick up my first gun tomorrow at Doveridge so looking forward to breaking a few clays.
  11. Yep shoot a few at Doveridge to prove it works tomorrow. Then plenty of practice with the gun mount in front of a mirror and hopefully at the Farm shoot on the 30th with you guys.
  12. And now I am on here as well... Cant wait until I get my gun on Wednesday, although I may be better using a catapult
  13. Hi All I guess it varies by force, I have mine in just 3 weeks......
