I've just had a birthday and my wife has given me a good usedGoPro Hero 3 plus as a pressie. This is a bit of an upgrade on my SJ4000 that I've used for several years now.
How many settings!!!
Could anyone with a bit of experience with GoPro cameras give me some advice on which settings to use? Please.
Thanks.
Inaugural outing should be this weekend.
I just got a GoPro 5+ and had to go online and down load the manual as there is that much you can do with them

Would there be any point Jacko if lead is going to be banned in a couple of years time ? Would it , or will it affect clay pigeon shooting as well when the time come ?
It was a tongue-in-cheek cheek comment

Start stocking up on lead now

You must have heard the expression, ‘wild goose chase’.
Where do you suppose the saying originated? From an horse race I believe

I can ( probably ( C19 )) make it happen in Lancs but maybe a little too far to travel?
Where in lancs I don’t mind travelling with in reason for a bit of shooting

Jacko just needs a partner who knows what he is doing.
It’s that silver truck of mine the birds see it in Lincolnshire north south east or west and they decide to do one and avoid where we set up

Always a little disappointing when they don’t play ball.
I drive past those fields on my way to work each day and there have been a promising few there for a while, I was sure there was a decent bag to be had.
There will be it’s just getting on the right field we may need you to join us and push them field to field

Me and Jdog set of out this morn to look at an influx of migrant birds the birds where there but they didnt seem to have a pattern as to where or what they wanted to do so we decided to leave them and go to some bean stubble fields 5 side by side ... when we arrived there was a lot of birds sat up in the boarder one ash tree had about 60 sitting in it and the field nearest this we saw maybe hundred lift with lines all around this area we decided to set up near the ash tree 2 hides one magnet few dead bird on sticks and a dozen shells ...With the amount of bird in the area I was that confident of a good bag I put a full slab in the hide this turned out to be a waste of energy as the birds just weren’t decoying and seem to prefer to go to another field we got 3 pigeon and a corvid we new this was going to be tricky with the amount of food available over a large area... as it was getting on a bit we decided against setting up elsewhere and decided to stand in a hedge and flightline a few we ended up with another 9 birds and everyone one of those took were memorable shots which made the day better always nice to be out in good company but it’s nice to get a few as well

Nice report and i think I might use some of those excuses next time I’m out with Jdog ( as I type 50 to 100 geese have just flown over my garden from the fields back to the lake) but I’ll use the one that goes “not my gun “ as I am going to trying one of Jdogs as it felt comfortable when mounted

Well Jacko we'll have to beg to differ on the "tripe" But you really didn't need to respond to my post unless you are taking up cudgels on behalf of other members. I appreciate that you and JDog are good friends. My post wasn't aimed at him in any derogatory way. Clearly, I have no idea of your past but I do wish you luck going forward. And I really do mean that. Everyone deserves a second chance. But I would advise to chill a little before firing off a post.
your just the moaning kid on the street who really wanted to play with other people toys cos you ain’t got any or are you the rich kid with all the toys and no friends nough said

So, do you think that it is acceptable to make personal attacks and rubbishing members views? Because I don't. I have never criticised a post for its content. Everyone is entitled to their views and if Forum members don't like them then either ignore the post or reply with a measured response and not some brainless personal comment. If I am on the receiving end of such unnecessary and unwarranted comment then it is likely to receive a vitriolic response. Healthy dialogue is great but I'm not prepared to be on the receiving end of rude "smart" verbiage. Maybe, JDog, although not pinned, manners and decorum should be an integral part of communicating. What do you think?
Shut up you talk tripe half the time ... 20 month ago I came on this site asking about getting my license with a criminal past and got an invite to shoot pigeons if I got it and had hair and teeth (I only had teeth) and here I am now with a permission gifted to me by a PW member because I don’t talk ******** (there is a word but I don’t want to get kicked off again )to fellow shooters and try and alienate them just do your sen a favour and get out on your perm if you really have one and shut the **** up moaning ...... P.S. am dyslexic and was a bit **** at all things to do with English lessons but can put enough words together even if not right) to be a valued member of PW ( hope am right in saying that )

Well today I had a busy day first a friends father in-law who has decided to retire from pigeon shooting invited me to collect all his gear if I wanted it nets poles decoys n a magnet on top all this kit was his semi auto beretta all this and he refused any payment .... next was a two hour drive to go look at was is now my new gun a miruko 6000sp lovely gun as I was driving down Jdog rang me know I was going to look at the new gun to see if I would be interested in some flightline shooting to break it in of coarse I said yes even though i had told him prior I wouldn’t be shooting this weekend as I had to go to the caravan and strip the veranda away and pack it up ready for them moving it .. I met Jdog at around 1230 and we walking to where Jdog had seen hundreds of pigeons you could see them flying in to a spinny where we would stand the wind was strong and these birds looked difficult within ten minutes of being in the trees Jdog had hit three beauties I had a couple of shots with the new gun but couldnt react quick enough .. finally there was one I had watch come from a distance and I took it at last first kill for the new gun the flightline as they do decided to move to our left so I went to stand there and low and behold it decided to stop we packed up with 9 picked ... loving this flightline shooting it’s hard but when you hit that one screamer it just makes your day ....ps packed the van up and then drove home 😁😁😁
