I served with 1 DWR, and was attached to the KOSB in Forkhill and crossmaglenn, I enjoyed the company, never understood a word anyone said but all the same, it was a good time considering where we were. To right as an Englishman i a Jock reg I did understand the Iraqis better at times, I did manage to convince the interpreters that because all the officers in the coy where english and the soldiers scottish we rounded up the tribal hill savages and put them in uniform in a colonial army. But was an excellent regiment and I can't think of a better people to have in a stickey situation. Shame the penny pinching govt has assigned the KOSB to the history books

There are a couple of good wildfowling clubs on your doorstep with shooting all along the north bank of the humber. There still is, I think, Northgate gun club which has loads of pigeon shooting around bev driff and Mkt weighton and Pest rid have a fair bit of ground over in east yorks as I think NPPC does. I have not got any contact details but Duncans gunshop in hull might. There is also a couple of sporting estates nearby where beating could open some doors ( Dalton and burton constable) - Spoilt for choice really!!

JG, I done a bit of skydiving and can't recomend it enough its awsome. of those 3 options I would go for the satic line first get the hang of that and progress, the course would be intense and that could take the fun out of it and tandems are a bit lame really. Hope you get on with it and enjoy
