  1. Fair weather shooter unless iv paid for it
  2. When it's raining ill be sat by the fire not lamping. Hopefully
  3. I just wanted to share a picture (if it uploads) of the truck I use for lamping.over the years I have tried lamping out of a few different trucks/quads and even an old Renault clio, but I have found this by far the best. Suzuki sj Quiet 1l petrol engine 2 or 4 wheel drive Goes anywhere The windscreen folds down with two catches And iv cut the top of the door hinges of so that the doors can be easily lifted of, makes it a lot easier getting in and out doing gates etc. I wondered what other people use?
  4. Is the ammo safe still for sale?
  5. Hi all I have been given an old gun and I'm after some information about it On the top of the barrel it says john blissett 322 high Holborn London It is a single barrel hammer gun It has a hexagonal barrel with a steel rod underneath it So I presume a muzzle loader? I don't know much about this type of gun so I wondered if anybody on here could shed some light and also if anybody knew what it might be worth
  6. Just out of interest does anybody know what the law says about riding a motorcycle on the road say to a clay ground and carrying a shotgun in a sling over your shoulder or attached to the bike? Thanks
  7. It's mostly going to be muntjac and roe, and I do want to have a go at the reloading
  8. I have the Cz in .22 and the browning in .17hmr I can't fault either gun but if I had to choose I would say the t bolt is my favourite, the straight pull bolt and rotary magazine are both cool features and I just think it is a nicer looking rifle, but the best thing to do is hold or use both guns and see what you prefer.
  9. Hi all I am currently filling in a variation form for my fac licence, i already have a 222 for foxes but I would like something bigger that I could use for deer and fox, at first I thought a 243 but a friend of mine is telling me to go bigger and he suggests a 25-06 or a 6.5×55. I just wondered what your thoughts were on the matter and does anybody use these calibres for deer aswell as fox? Thank you for any answers
  10. Thanks for the reply, The land does have deer that I can shoot, mainly roe and muntjack but I would not be shooting many just the occasional one for the freezer, so I thought I would also ask for fox on the 222 and 243. The .22 pump is just something different and would mainly be used for fun on targets with open sights, I would probably get the 22 and 222 first as I know of the two guns for sale and then get the 243 at a later date
  11. Hi all I'm currently in the process of applying for a variation on my firearms licence At the moment I have a .22 and a 17hmr both on an open licence I want to apply for a .22 pump action and a 222 bolt action as I have came across two very cheap guns, I will also apply for 243 or possibly something larger, I'm undecided at the moment But my question is do I need to put down the ground that I am going to be shooting over on the application form as I already have an open licence? I have plenty of good permission that I can shoot on, but I just wondered if anybody could help. Thankyou for any answers
  12. I'm selling my suzuki jimny as I have now brought a Landrover It's a great car for shooting/feeding It's got mud terrain tyres Also a spare set of road wheels and tyres It's had the back seats removed and a metal tray fitted, its great for chucking bags of corn into or rabbits whilst out lamping IV wired a 12v socket into the dash on the right hand side by the window for lamping It's a 53 plate 61000 miles 1.3 petrol Cheap on fuel/insurance 4x4 and low range This car goes anywhere and it's light on the ground so less mess Almost like a quad bike that keeps you warm and dry I also have the rear seats so it can be returned to normal £2500 Ono
