  1. At my age any fox pooing and generally making a nuisance of itself on the farmer's lawn at 4am has no fear of me making my presence felt at that ungodly hour. Still, have to do something so set up a cage trap. No sooner done so than no more poo, no more noise and the farmer and his good lady are sleeping through the night. But left the trap just in case. Then the same one starts pooing in the silage trough. Move trap and re-bait. Same as before, it all goes quiet. Again, leave trap just in case. Just as with the pheasant, I think the noise and disturbance caused by the solar panel array installation work has sent the wildlife to all other points of the compass. Then last week it was spotted in the orchard. Phone call this morning. It was having a little nap after dining on a well (very) hung sqirrel. Didn't seem right to disturb it so quietly changed the little nap into the big sleep. Having a look, it was easy to see why the description I was given by the farmer made it unmistakeably the same one. I have never, ever, seen such a big head on a fox,
  2. For the first time in 3 years, i have just seen pigeons lazily dropping out of the oaks and gliding onto a field of peas that have just come into flower inthe last few days. the field is not mine to shoot but the oaks and roost wood next to the field is !!, im going to spend an hour with the bins up there tomorrow and see what is happening then if it is coming good a good all day session in the week with a couple of mates, last year the peas were 2 fields away and nothing hit it from sowing to harvest, 3 lads turned up early doors after the previous nights harvesting and didnt even bother to set up ! anyway we will see what comes off during the week....the numbers didnt look large but nice an steady in 2s and 3s dropping in..couldnt see how many on the floor, but if i burn 20-30 catridges an hour for a while i will be well chuffed............
  3. hi all after a rather disappointed start to to getting my munty scored i have finally got it back scoring a 62.20 hitting gold i must say i originally sent the head of to BASC to get it scored but after receiving the head back i was gutted to find such a cheap Christmas cracker medal and the only paper work i got was a score sheet photo copy i was disappointed with the service. i then decided ti ring Charles fenn at cic trophy's i told him that i was less than pleased with basc and he offered his service for half price . i sent the head to him the next day three days later it was back with a stunning gold medal a certificate score sheet and score markings it was a land slide to who was the more professional service if you where thinking of have a head scored trust me go to cic no where els !! i think if i tried i could bite through the basc medal lol take a look at the difference in the workmanship thanks all andy
