  1. AYA No.2 removable sidelock 12 bore side by side shotgun 26inch barrels with concave rib, 1/4 and 1/2 choke, colour case hardened removable actions decorated with scrollwork, chequered stock with white metal escutcheon for initials Dimensions: 15 1/2" LOP fitter with Silver’s pad. Obviously this can be shortened very easily 2 ¾ inch chambers The shotgun is in very good / near perfect condition, with nice wood. The barrels ring when tapped. There are no dents or scratches whatsoever. Unfortunately, I have to let this beauty go because my centrefire obsession has taken over my safes. Collection in Warrington, Cheshire, or RFD at cost. £1050 ONO
  2. Hi folks, Was down at Westlands Country Club at Annan today shooting the sporting and watching Digweed do his stuff, great day all round and would thoroughly recommend the ground. Spent a while in their fantastic gunroom and ended up taking this AYA No4 Best Quality Boxlock home. Wasn’t until the deal was done that the salesman produced the case so that was a nice bonus. Paid £1000 for it which is twice what my beretta 686 cost but I can really appreciate the quality of the wood in particular. Can anyone help with any info on the gun? From the serial I reckon it’s between 1984-87 but apart from that I can’t find much about the ‘best quality’ model online? Can’t wait to try it on the pheasants on the first syndicate day in a fortnights time!
  3. Hi all, It's about time I made my first post, I've been reading this forum for years. Anyway I picked up an AYA No.3 3" Magnum the other day in excellent condition, serial number and code date it to 1964, but I'm noticed that on the barrel flats it appears to be proofed to 900kg. What constitutes a "Magnum gun"? I thought the majority of these were proofed to 1200kg. Also being a 3" chamber, does that mean I can put any 3" commercial cartridges through it without any worry? Cheers
  4. Evening all! I'm in the process of restoring my old AYA yeoman, I've recently re-blued the barrels (I posted the finished product in the DIY Craft section). I'm reaching out to you all for some help, My yeoman was fitted with an aftermarket Recoil pad which has always bugged me. It's fitted nicely, it just doesn't suit the gun. I'd really like to replace it with an original AYA butt plate. Fortunately I still have the original screws which have large plugged head. If anyone has one or would be willing to sell me one, please drop me a PM! (ITEM 143 in the below GA drawing) Many thanks!
