  1. We are looking at getting electric gate openers installed to our wrought iron twin gates. What I'd like to know is are what is the best system above ground or below ground ? With our gates I can have either type fitted and the cost isn't that much different to sway me to one. So your thoughts and experiences
  2. Lately after many barren years there has been a population explosion of rabbits in this part of the world. One of my farms has a disused railway cutting running through it which is infested with rabbits. The most I have shot is 8 in a session just walking the field and line, the first time some of the rabbits just froze where they were making an easy shot with the .22 at ranges down to 10 yards. Now what with my 4 outings and the farmers son out with an air rifle it is barely possible to get within 50 yards of a sitting bunny. Time for night time outings me thinks. Never having considered the matter before can any members point me towards a man portable set up that my aged bones can carry and light up theiving bunnies which are making their mark on the two pea fields alongside the old line. Just having a think to myself which is best? over the past few years the 12b 31/2 chambered semi auto has improved considerably in my opinion along with the variety of shells available from most the gun shop. but can it rival the 10b. I don't think it still can measure up to the ten for goose flighting out on the marsh due to patterning of the gun but as an overall all round wildfowling gun I think it surpasses the 10 now especially as the loads and chokes have improved the killing capabilities considerably. If you could just choose one gun to use which would you pick....
