Does anyone know how to clean up a synthetic stock, my one has collected scratches and knocks here and there and is looking a bit shabby and i just wondered if anyone had a good idea for cleaning it up and getting the scratches out? could it be smoothed out with very fine W&D or is there a latex type coating on the synthetic stocks?

You will not be able to remove scratches, unless you sand the surrounding area down to the depth of the scratch, a right PITA, there are fillers designed for plastics, these are used in the automotive repair industry, not a lot of good to us with Synthetic stocks ( possibly could be if the filler was black in colour...)

I guess it could be filled and painted, but again a right PITA as special plastic primers have to be used. How it would stand up to the shock loads...dont know..
