mikee
I had to cover one of the other surveyors areas today and one of the calls was at a farm, i met the farmer to discuss his building works and while chatting i was looking round his farm, there were cover strips in most of the fields, but most of the fields were stubble and were absolutley blue with pigeons but didnt say anything about pigeon shooting as i thought it would be a non runner with so much game about, then he asked "dont suppose you shoot pigeons do ya boy" to which i replied "well it has been known, do you want some of these thinning out" yes please he replied, we start shooting the game tomorrow and then every fortnight until the end of the season, but if you ever want to come in the 1st week after each pheasant shoot just turn up and get stuck in, what a result, there's 300 acres here and will be stubble all winter, hes also got 3 other similar sized farms around the area and he will show me round when he gets time, so another 1000ish acres of pigeon shooting safely in the bag, and all because my mate at works car packed in and he couldnt get to work today mikee
