Catamong
Most responsible magpie trappers stop trapping them at this time of year, the weather will be getting too cold at night and the call bird will not survive the frost. Start again at the end of March, before the birds can get established and start nest building. Cat.

Bleeh
magpies will take small song birds eggs and there young We all know that, but you must be aware that along with snaring, living-bait trapping is on the verge of becomming illegal. I have reap the benifits of both, but if you want to continue to do so in the future, you must proceed quietly. This is an open forum and it would be in your best intrests not to post anything that could provoke a guest, and make you look like a blood thirsty loonie, on an open forum. poontang
magpies will take small song birds eggs and there young It's what they do. It's called nature. It doesn't make them scum, and i it doesn't make me hate them for it either. Raptors kill song birds too, should we kill them? What about sharks or Killer whales? Harpoon them perhaps. By all means shoot/trap magpies but show them a little respect.
