Axe
Thanks Rob and evryone else for your comments, very insightful. I am in no hurry to go out and spend my hard earned dosh and will certainly be looking at other guns. I've got to say though, even though the Rapid may be more expensive, it's still favourite at the moment. FAC is something I have started thinking about., though I havent enquired as to what is required as of yet. I do have permission for around 120 acres at the moment. These are spread over four shoots, the owners of which are very freindly. I cant help thinking though, it would be better to go for a .22 rimfire than to spend a load of money on a high power airifle. But then, I don't fully understand the in's and out's of it all, at the moment. Thanks once again guys, you've come up trumps for me, once again. Regards, Axe. High velocity
Good morning great morning got 3 days off. As to the bracket that deadeye ive has made, its exellent. after having my R7 for over 10 years and not being able to attach a sling to without pulling on the free floating barrel, since Ive gave me this bracket i have attached a harris Bipod and a sling to my R7, with no worries about POI being lost. It only takes a few seconds to remove, to able you to fill the bottle. Axe as to buying an air rifle you are best buying what you are going to be happy with, buy one that you are going to really enjoy using. In the old days :( when i first saw the very early SLR8 shot OVER 20 YEARS AGO i wanted one. I love my Rapid and would not swap it for owt. its given me years of enjoyment and filled many freezers, but dont let ones love of a gun sway you into buying what they have, make your own decision, you dont want to make the wrong choice only to change it a short time after and loose money on it. I am sure you work hard for you dosh, spend it on one that you will appreciate Bed now, crow shooting this after. Deadeye ive got 100 shells for you 2mrw
Axe
but dont let ones love of a gun sway you into buying what they have, make your own decision, Thanks HV, all I can say is "only fools rush in" :( When my mates read your post in the context its meant, they are gonna laugh their socks off!! They know me all too well and know that I certainly don't rush out to buy the latest fad!! At the moment the S16 is providing me with much success and enjoyment. Though I would like to refrain from each shot being executed from the Bi-pods! Regards, Axe.
