For all you flat shooting types out there, lets not forget the importance of accuracy. A fast light bullet that shoots flat is all well and good, but the wind will beat the **** out of it at range, so who knows where it's going to land. The heavy slow round that's also aerodynamic (like the 140grn 6.5) may shoot loopy but it bucks that wind. It's a nightmare to judge wind depending on whatever speed it's blowing at on the day, but your drop will always be the same.

 

Moral of the story, buck the wind and learn your trajectory. That will get you a lot more meat for the pot than a faster than the speed of light bullet that gets blown out by 6" and misses its mark! There's no point getting the elevation right if the windage is impossible to judge <_<
