hairy biker
is it possible to re-parallax a fixed mag scope.usually people re-parallax lets say a 3-9x40 scope, they would turn it up to 9x mag and parallax it until the target they were looking at became clear at lets say 35 yards.a target with a fixed mag scope of 4x at 35 yards would prob be clear but not look very big so re-parallaxing to 25 yards would hopefully make the target look bigger Edited October 17, 2009 by hairy biker

Re-parallaxing wont make any difference to the apparent size of the target through the scope, and at 4x mag it will also be very difficult to see any difference in focus anyway unless you were only a few yds from the target. Hope I have understood you question properly Edited October 18, 2009 by bennyblanco
swankypotter
hi iv got a Nikko Stirling Nighteater 6-24x56 and its got adjustable parallax and i find if i move the wheel up the yards but i stay still it dose make the target slightly bigger but it makes the target fuzzy if i go to far and also makes my shot POI go off. your best bet mate is either get a new scope with more zoom/mag or just stick with what you got and only use your parallax for each yard i.e if your at 30 yards set the parallax to 30yards not 35 or 40 yards to make the target bigger because if you adjust your parallax to a different setting to what you are shooting at and zeroed at your POI will be off i.e if your zeroed at 30 yards and your parallax was set at 30 yards when you were zeroing you will be bang on every time but if you try and shoot a target when your at 30 yards away with the parallax set at 40 yards you will be off every time. hope this makes since lol took me a while to get it but now im hitting sub 1/2 and 60+ yards. thanks mark

swankypotter
hi so why do you need to move it i had a 4x40 hawke scope with fixed parallax and it was fine from 10 up to about 50 yards all i did was adjust the eyebell focus and it worked fine thanks mark
John_R
Hairy Biker, Are you actually having any trouble using your scope? If not better to leave it alone. However, if you find it is not in focus at your normal shooting range then you need to adjust the parallax.

John_R
OK, sounds like you just have to replace the scope.

Wurzel
iam lost on this one.read it twice and confused its either fixed or px or zoom. On a fixed mag scope with no parralax adjustment ... you can alter the parralax by removing the end cap and rotating the glass to bring it inline with airgun ranges ... most fixed mag scopes are parralaxed longer range shooting Wurzel
