aaron airgunner
hi, im thinking of choosing a new scope for my rifle. it would be adjustable mag. with the scope i have at the moment (hawke reflx 3-10x40) i zero at 10x and usually hunt at 9x unless under 20 yrds when i go down to 7-8X. extreme close range i'll go down to 5-6X. also, what is a paralex? oh and my scope needs to be under £80 preferably. cheers,Aaron

aaron airgunner
ok cheers ill take a look there. big words confuse me and i still dont really get parallax but aparantly its vital for high mag scopes. does parallax help with range estimation? George1990
A parallax scope pretty much means it has a means of focusing, like on binoculars. There is a degree of range finding, as the yardage is marked on the adjuster. So when the scope is focussed, you can read off the approximate range. The scope you have at the moment is a good air rifle scope anyway Get another one of those
Frenchieboy
Another place worth a look is: http://www.sga-uk.co.uk I got a brand new Bushnell Banner 3-9 X 50 Dawn to Dusk for £46.00 with new 1 piece mounts and the postage is free (About half the price of anywhere else!). Steve that runs it is very genuine and helpful. I paid for mine on the Tuesday, it was posted on the Wednesday and arrived on the Thursday. Well worth a look!
