Beardo
are you after an nv that goes on the back of a day scope or a dedicated night scope?

Beardo
depends what you want to do with it, good fun for <50m shooting at rabbits and rats with an air rifle or rimfire.

Beardo
you do know you'll be limited to shooting it at night then? the ATN Aries/Spartan MK410 is probably the best of the bottom end ones. http://www.nightvisiongear.co.uk/Night-Vis...Spartan-410.htm
Blackbart
For about £500..buy a big bag of carrot's. I know £500 is a lot of money but you dont get a lot of nv kit for this sort of money as after lot's of research into this i reckon you need to spend 3 times that before you start getting owt decent. Having said that it will get you something to shoot at 50 yards !Try and get something that you have comeback on if it goes bits up,so avoid e-bay russians
Lancs Lad
Unless you have a dedicated rifle for NV then I wouldnt even bother............... As for 500 quid, you are looking at a NVRS titanium................not much cop...............ok for the air gun and thats about it........ mickeylove
Ive got a paladin on my ruger 10/22 and its more than enough for rabbits up to 60 yrds which can easily be seen with the built in illuminator, using a cluson lamp with an ir filter you can easily see 150 yrds but the lack of magnification makes hitting anything tricky.
