oneshotkiller
I'm not much of a lamper and these early nights mean i wont be doing much week day shooting probably only the occasional Sunday when i have the whole day to myself ! Any way to keep my eye in I've been practicing my long range shooting with my HW77 .22 NOT WITH HUNTING IN MIND but just to see if i can do it , i wanna see if i can achieve consistent 2 p size groups at 60 yards . Wondered if any one else on here fancied the challenge just for a laugh and bit of fun , and see if springers can perform PCP like accuracy any one with me :good:

Skeptical about what exactly ?? That you can not get a .22 springer to group at 60 yards And i never mentioned hunting at that distance its just a bit of fun and maybe stretch my skills and see how well i can do at that distance ! I would actually say off a bi pod i could get your s400 to group at 60 yards fairly well
kitkat1963
Hmmm, now that sounds interesting, just for a bit of fun. I am pretty handy with my HW95K, but 60 yards?.... Neil (not far from Grantham)
Gonk
I recently went head to head with my mate on targets from 10yds, 20yds, 30yds, 40yds then 50 yds. I was using my springer my mate his super duper S410. We both got all 5 shots into the 40mm targets we were using until 50yds where I missed two and my mate missed one. I reckon with practice you could get tighter, consistant groups then that out to 60 yds. To be fair we did take some "sighting" shots at all the distances before we started to give us a good idea of how many mildots to aim off. I might have him a rematch next week now! Let us know how you get on.
oneshotkiller
I cant see why with practice i cant make my springer group at 60 yards . Running at 11.5 ftilbs i think i can consistently group at under 1" benched or prone . I will zero the rifle in tomorrow and start preparing my pellets , will post my results later in the week with photographic evidence If any one else is up for posting their test results on here i would love to see them
