pegasus bridge
i managed to sneak out for the last hour of the day with my newly aquired HMR, got myself sat 70 yards in front of a long bank covered in warrens, had a shootable view of at least 150 yards of this bank, (the rape in front of it has been chewed to the ground in a semi-circle) and .... NOTHING!, not a single shot fired at anything! i was sat up, downwind, off the skyline, it was dry and breezy, we have just had a couple of days of heavy rain, in my mind, i was going to bag up, but didnt even see a single rabbit. i have shot hundreds from this bank, with shotguns, and air rifles, its almost as if they can sense the extra range i now have has anyone else had any joy on the bunny's today ? :o
cooter
A lot of people are complaining of this lately. I went out yesterday and the only ones I saw were in sheltered areas, where the sun was shining. As they now have longer nights they seem to be in no rush to get out, but I was checking for signs of activity, and there are plenty. A few dry days and they will be back out again. Lez325
Lets not forget - Rabbits are a nocturnal animal maybe better to lamp them this late in the year Les
