Pigeon Magnets

I have had a pigeon magnet for a year now and i still cant decide if they work or not. I find they bring pigeons around to have a look but never close enough to have a shot and be confident in hitting it. I have tried several different ways of using it e.g. changing he speed of it or changing its location in the decoy pattern but it still hasnt made the pigeons come in.

Does this happen to anyone else ?

Cheers

I have mine most of the time only 5 to 10 yards from my hide !

I would not go out with out mine some days it works some it dont but have seen it work very well at times so its always with me . :D

Good advice there, last time i shot with Tom the birds by passed me and Barney and made straight for Toms decoys, it was pulling them in from all over, up until then i was a bit sceptical about these things, that certainly changed my mind, a bit of movement is all they need sometimes to really get them switched on.

I have had them land in a pattern next to the rotary while i was tidying up shot birds, they didn't notice me, or the fact that i had my gun with me, once i even had feral pigeons try to land on the machine itself.

Some Ferrel's are suicidal :D I had one feeding 5 yards in front of my hide under the rotary. He didn't even flinch when I stood up and shot at decoying/passing woody's. Stayed there eating and minding its own business for a good 15 mins.
