Air Arms S200

Rob, Ali C is right, we had one of these and I did look into changing the forend to a Mk2 version, as at the time you could not get the barrel band seperatly, but it was too expensive, floating barrel`s are better anyway.

They are a cracking gun though, very accurate, floating barrel or not, I have a genuine Air arms silencer and fill adapter for one of these if you haven`t got one, swapped gun before we could fit it.

Try Chambers Gunmakers website for the part you need.

Oh, well that explains it.

It just seems that the barrel bounces about a bit. Dont know if anyone else can help or shed any light on this. Also, the fac upgrade.....is it just a spring or further components?

Rob

IMO I wouldn't bother with FAC power on an S200 if it is standard, you would get too few shots per charge to make it practical unless you had a reg fitted or a buddy bottle fitted in place of the standard cylinder. Simon, (Tweaky on airgunbbs.com) does alot of custom work and his work is highly recomended, he can fit a regulator or buddy bottle if you wish.

But if you have your heart set on a standard FAC S200, then you can up it to around 18FPE with the adjuster screw, or you can fit a more powerful hammer spring, bearing in mind both methods will give less shots per fill.

As far as I know the Mk.1 had a floated barrel, and the barrel band was added on the Mk.2?

:| correct - although a new mk2 forestock will fit (standard fixing) if desired. if you want to take it to fac - new hammersprings are available (only this needed to upgrade), but will only take the gun up to around 26 ft lbs - not really worth it as you'll not get many shots per fill...
