blacklab
Up to the first 8 weeks - 9 months depending on the dog I just get the dog used to its name, then recall using name & whistle, then just whistle, 1-2 retrieves a day with a old sock to start gradually introduce a puppy dummy. Introduce the lead & sit, once the dog understands the sit command I introduce the stop - sit whistle. I don't get my dogs to stay at a young age as it sometimes takes the drive out of a young pup, unless your training a peg dog. make everything a game for your pup, enjoy & bond with her. hope this is of some help.
