matt101
ive just got back from shooting over a field of wheat, which was half cut and half standing because th farmer had to stop because of heavy downpour a few days ago. anyway when me and a freind got there we saw about 15 flitting about and i walked down the field to have a closer inspection. i had a shot at one for the rotary and suddenly about 400 - 500 pigeons lifted off the field. i was so shocked because i couldnt even see 10 and suddenly they all popped up. we set up beneth a tree in the middle of the field with the rotary and about 15 shell decoys and had a constant supply of birds from about 1.00 to 7.00 we shot over a hundred but only picked up 82. its a shame that we couldnt find the other lot because of thick cover and the wheat. ill stick some picks up tomorrow for u to see. matt

Catamong
Well done Matt - a little tip for you to increase the number of right and left's that you get - If at all possible don't shoot under a tree, because the overhanging branches and leaves, (particularly in Summer) prevent you from taking shots at birds that are flying directly overhead. Far better to shoot from a hedge where you can take the birds coming from all angles.
