Right, I have ordered a yildiz tk36 folding .410 with a 26" barrel I was thinking if I had the barrel cut down to 17" and then had the mod put on it would still be 25" otherwise its going to be 33" barrel which is a tad long and a folder.

 

Thoughts and legalitys of doing this would be gratefully recived B)

What's to stop you removing the mod? Think you're into section 1 territory myself.

they are permantly attached as far as im aware, but this is why Im asking

i beleave that there is 7" of barrel inside the moderator and if you have the barrel altered it will need to be reproofed plus you will loose any fixed choke in the barrel

When you fit a 9" moderator you machine the end cap bore to match the taper of the barrel and then apply adhesive and knock onto the barrel with a softhead mallet , The problem then is it can be taken off using a hammer making it relativley easy to remove not good in the eyes of the powers that be.
