Cookiemonsterandmerlin.
Cracking morning out on sunday with a crisp sunny day ahead loaded the ferts up. The ground has been too hard for the pegs in the last two weeks we kept losing rabbits due to peg not holding and last sunday lost loads in the longnet due to the pegs being brittle in -7 and the sticks shearing off at ground level. But this sunday the frozen ground was not deep and the pegs pushed in and held firm. Bright and clear with a warmish sun netted up the first burrow 25 holes or so five rabbits . We moved down the hedge netting up some perfect sized burrows not to big in size . We finished off with a new burrow that has sprung up where the farmer had placed some stones in the gate way to stop hare courser driving into the field. The ferts struggled but push five out and one rabbit held up under the large stone and we could not dig it out. Total was 32 clean well sized rabbits with some already having young inside them. Pike fishing tommorow night at some lakes near south cerney it going to be cold perfect for piking. Regards OTH
