wildfowler.250
Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone on here has/has used the new browning X-bolt and if so what do you think? (I'm was thinking of getting one in .270 in the next couple of weeks so any advise is greatly appreciated!). Many thanks
Beretta28g
.270 great caliber, .30-06 case necked dow; fairly harsh on recoil. You could try a .308 as the shorter fatter case helps reduce recoil. but i wouldnot, .270 win is a mans gun. My only question is what do you recon to the remington cor-loct bullets, i have been using federaal but have had some problems sourcing them. i have shot the xbolt, a friend has got one, but i do prefer tikka t3, they are smoother loading, when i used the browning the soft lead of the bullets were catching on the top of the chamber, Beretta Edited January 12, 2010 by Beretta28g
maddog546
Beretta is that some sort of code (remington corloct ullets, i have been using federaal but have had some problems sourcing them),I use Federal 130 grain partition but must admit we had everything the importers had at the time between three of us,winchester are cheaper and seem readily available. Not sure about the xbolt though only I favour Remington 700 strains, and my mate uses a Sako which I must admit it lovely and smooth.
