Jeep Cherokee sills

I bought a Jeep Cherokee from PhilSIDC on here which needs a bit of MOT work.

My mechanic reckons that its all do-able but it needs some of the sills welded up and could do with some over sills or sill repair panels.

I have been looking for some sill panels but cant seem to find any in the UK. I can find a few in the US thought (they are called rocker panels in the US)

Some 4x4 forums suggest cutting all the sills out and welding in box section - which is time consuming and costly.

Does anyone know of any replacement sill panels for the XJ Cherokee Jeep ?

Cheers

2x2 box (or similar) should be quick and cheap, lots of info on line, I have done a mates Vitara and might do mine if the lump is not totalled :good: , takes a few hours with a grinder and welder but worth it (if you can do most of the work yourself)?

if my lump is U/S then looking for anther vit or a frontera cheap :lol:

Shut it you nobheads :good:

Went out to this place today, no website, no email but plenty of dry country humour. :good:

Nice guy with a barn full of bits for Jeeps of all ages from the 1970's forwards.

I picked up the sill I needed and my mechanic reckons that she'll be road legal for the middle of next week :good:

Another PW problem solved. :blush::good::good:
