I think our sports representatives in these consultations need to put forward that the shooting community wants something in return if they want our support, i.e if they want to ban 50 cal we want revolvers back for target shooting. They should know that they won't get something for nothing and we are sick of been made a scape goat just so they can feel like they are doing something. If they want to ride roughshod over us that's up too them but let them know it will be a rough ride.

to the ops original question definatly no, the gov should be as small and do as few things as possable! some things the gov has to do (defence, police etc...) but most things can be done cheaper and better if they arnt involved. since we are on agriculture take the subsidy system, out of the tax we pay to gov, some gets spent of admin here, then europe(where some of it is sent to other countries cause we are a major contributer), then more of it is spent on admin here before being sent out to farmers. wouldnt it be better value for money just to pay a little more for food in the shop?

bfg muds are hard to beat, general grabbers also last well and perform well off road. heard good things about coopers muds as well

dont like body lifts much, stress the body mounts while banging about but they do tend to be cheap and dont mess up handeling to much just dont go nuts keep it 1 maybe 2 inch. suspension kits can cause allsorts of handeling problems unless its a good kit. there is a third option if you want to fit bigger tyres and arnt to attached to your bodywork, just cut your wheelarches out some! there is plenty of good kit available for the vitara tho if thats what you have.

yup, had them fited front and rear on my jeep and were fantastic. on the road they take a bit of getting used to in a swb truck, i had free wheeling hubs on the front axle so unlocked them for road use otherwise it would be a big no no for road use! rear axle is fine tho. i had the power trax version called the no spin, basicaly the same but with a few extra thrust washers to make it less bangy

had an lpg vehicle for the last ten years and its saved me a fortune, now got 2 on lpg and much prefer it to diesel, does have its problem if not cared for tho. both mine are large castiron engines tho, heared ali engines dont like it and wear more in the heads but dont have any experience of that.

you can only switch the fan off if its electric, this will stop water being flicked onto the distributer on a petrol engine killing the ignition. 90% of 4x4s have an engine driven fan that cant be switched off unless you remove the belt that drives it. if your diesel dont worry about it.

i dont agee with banning anything, greater controls usualy leads to more problems, people should be held accountable for their actions ie get well and truely jumped for breaking the law. dont have a problem with replica/deactivated weapons(how many people are killed by them?) alot of people get alot of pleasure from collecting them, not my thing but niether is football and i dont want to see that banned, (and we all know the amount of problems that causes). like always with these things its a human problem, we should look at why we have so many poor quality people these days.

mini 14 target is a specific mini 14 made for target shooting, its different from the standard mini 14. cant find any indication that and straight pulls are/were made, ruger isnt makeing any more standard straight pull mini 14s for the forseeable, think they were disapointed with sales

car will be fine in flood water, really muddy water can be a problem but thats the mud that causes the starter alt issues, you can extend the breathers for gearbox, transfercase, and axles if your doing alot of wadeing but the engine is the big one. manual gearboxs, transfercases and axles will live with water in them for a long time aslong as the water doesnt float out all the oil. check the oil for water at servicing. ujs will want greasing more regular. unless your doing lots of bonnet deep water i wouldnt worry about it, especialy on a toyota. modern petrol engines with coil on plug dont suffer like the older distributer engines in water, pretty much as good as a diesel in water now.

its not made in straight pull, only semiauto so we cant be trusted with it

no doubt it would but thats not the point, i like a bit of a project especialy one that would get up peoples noses, everyone knows minis arnt the most accurate of rifles but people love to tell you with great relish that they cant hit a barn door from the inside even if they have never seen one let alone shot one. kevlar, did the stock make any noticeable difference to your rifle or has it always been pretty good? got any pictures of that stock?

anyone done any work to make one more accurate? glass bedding, heavy barrel, etc just wondering whats available. dont actually own one but think it would make a nice handy fox rifle.
