omegabri
Hello all... I have a Sako Quad Synthetic and was wondering if there were any spray that would offer the synthetic stock a nice soft smooth grip feel ? Has anyone ever tried anything before ?? Kindest regards Brian
pandamonia
i went to look at a Sako quad and the gun shop had scuffed the plastic a little by taking it in and out of the rack. they had made the rough surface go shiny in places. i wasnt to happy with this for a new gun. they offered £25 off. whats the point in a plastic stock if it ends up in a scuffed state like a wood one can? bicykillgaz
i think the point is if you scratch wood water can get in and cause damage if you scratch plastic nothing will come of it. i'd be intrested too with regards to paint for synthetic stocks as wouldn't mind having a go at doing a dpm/realtree type effect on my baikal hushpower as the black bits do stand out, and if it looks pants no harm done i'll just make it all one colour again. omegabri
I might give the stuff a try on my Sako.. All my other guns have oil finished stocks, so they don't really mark Cheers guys... Oh. Looking at a finish top coat I've seen something called 'Platsi Dip', but in spray form ? ? ? might try that too...:(
browning123
I sprayed "U-POL PLAST" Plastic repair colour coat 5 on the synthetic stock of my Baikal Hushpower. It came up a treat, using short busts of spray and letting the paint dry off before the next bust. Looks like new! Does'nt wear off and does not require sealing.
