garyb
Quick one for you... Can I use the below gun / cartridge mix? Gun = 12g, which is marked as "12-70" which I take to mean, 12bore and 70mm (please correct me) and is also marked "850kgs" Cartridge = Eley Alphamax, 70mm 36grm of #3 - Bismuth I can't find any "pressure" details of these Eley shells, to see if it falls below 850Kgs. libs
Just use lead :o - on a serious note, I thought it was only steel loads that were over pressured, or the longer 3" loads etc... Isn't bismuth/ITM specifically designed for use in un-steel-proofed older guns?
MC
I have a feeling that Alphamax are a higher pressure than normal loads. Bismuth is not a problem in your gun although I don't rate it at all, I think Alphamax are 3 1/4 tons per square in or 900kg
