apache
If you got it from a gunshop you've just missed a great opportunity to get a good few quid off, buying it at the same time as the gun! I've never been so good at getting the gun prices reduced but the money comes off the other stuff!
mrgsm
I got them down on the gun price! but it was like getting blood out of a stone! apache
I got them down on the gun price! but it was like getting blood out of a stone! Oh! they gave me a good price on 600 rounds of v max red tip @ £9.50 a box 50 Once you've weakened them then you grab the scope and offer a silly amount for the lot! First gun I bought I had got the gun, slip and a box of cartridges. Picked up a second slab of carts and a cart bag and offered a pound more than the other bits added up to and he said 'go on'. Got about £100 stuff for £1!
Colster
Need to know your budget really. I'd suggest having a look for second hand and for sub-hundred quid stuff look at Simmons, Hawke (not HD), JSR's own brand. Avoid off shore eBay sellers (often fakes or cheap copies), Bushnell (make good scopes but not so good at the lower end), Rickter Optic. I have a Simmons Whitetail Classic, Simmons Aetec and a Hawke Varmint II - all great scopes. I tend to only use one mag (6x) although all my scopes are variable. You get better glass with fixed mag (well less of it for the image to travel through really) but they tend to start more expensive anyway. If you want to spend more (say £200-£300) then you're in the market for good Bushnell's (Elite) but I'd probably get a Schmidt and Bender 6x42
