Alpha Mule
A chap I know has been getting royally peed off at the local squirrels robbing all the food he has put out for the wild birds and asked me to go have a word with them. I turned up and he met me getting out of the car. "There's one out there now!" We get quietly into his house and he points out where the theif is, I get the gun out of the bag, load it up and slip out the back door. A quiet recce round the corner of the house and it hasn't noticed me. I was shooting at much, much closer range than I usually do, so held under by quite an amount (non-mildot scope so lets just say A LOT) and let him have one. Just off centre and above his right eye. He just fell flat on his face. I was chuffed to bits that I had hit him so cleanly at a completely unknown (or practiced range). So after getting the kettle on, the chap asked if I could help cleaning it so it could go in the pot. Fair enough, it can't be that different from a rabbit. HOW TOUGH IS THEIR HIDE? Now I understand what you guys mean when you say they are hard to kill. They must be bulletproof away from the skull! Anyway, I had to head off after an hour or so, but he sent me a text to say another 3 have been spotted theiving and can I go back anytime soon. It would be rude not to eh?
