This has been the same for the past few weeks, what are they feeding on as they aint on the stubbles? cant for the life of me work it out, no rape, bean over here and little to no peas either? :<

Will Beasley
I tell you where they are too Hampshire. Flippin HERDS of em. Shot our little patch down there friday and I tell you......not seen quite so many pigeons as there was there in a long time. Thousands literally thousands. Guess where I'm going again on Wednesday and I'll even get the opportunity to have a hide and shoot too.....proper job!
invector
Been a bit quiet here too but I went out this afternoon and saw a small group hoovering up the wheat dropped when this ex lupins field was sown yesterday. I shot 26 pigeons, (10 adults and 16 juveniles!) a magpie and a rabbit. Not a big bag but much better than it has been for the past few weeks. Perhaps they have been anchored to nests for a while? Roll on December when they flock up properly, then we`ll all be moaning that there`s too much OSR about.

Stealth Stalker
I bagged 70 today on drilled barley. Mainly young uns, my best bag so far. And a nosey magpie. It was my first time on drillings, dog performed brilliantly. A good afternoons sport. Does any one know a game dealer or butcher that wants woodies in the Herts area?
