Spaniel
Hi After some feedback from anyone who already uses these please I am thinking of buying one, but how often do you use them while out training the spaniels, opposed to just throwing the dummy out by hand .. The Turner Richards ones allow you to launch a Teal bird and i have also seen those bullet type oval dummies which i guess bounce in different directions when they hit the ground Are they a tool which are worth investing in or do they spend more time in the bag Cheers
WGD
Valuable for training long distance retrieves and improving marking but TBH I find mine a bit of a cumbersome tool and don't use it that often.

Mec 9000
I use launcher with a rifle stock, get someone to fire it from a distance away that you can steady the dog from running in.I also use a bumper boy which is a good piece of kit, again it helps steady the dog and gives it confidence working at distance. Remember that the dog will mark this type of retrieve which should be easy. Have you started on short or long blind retrieves which are more important. Spaniel
Only carried out short blind retrieves so far with the spaniel to be honest
