Cheers the black mire Type and thickness of reticle are important for lamping, especially if you are talking distance, between £700-£1000, you are spoilt for choice, plenty available for that or less!! It gets personal as well, this is something you will have to work on yourself! Edited February 7, 2010 by Dekers
Beardo
A7 or Plex are both good - thick posts for lineup but thin centre points so they don't get in the way at long range

Cheers the black mire zeiss conquest mate around 500 pound. 25 mm tube so light and mounts are cheap. dont let the 25mm tube put you off the optics are superb. and under the orange lamp filter can easy see foxes at 300 yards ! not that you really shoot that far at night. imo best scope you can buy till you get into the 1000 pound prices. get the zplex or 20 recticial as is know. i had the n04 before and well its good for foxes. at longer range on rabbits or crows it was to thick and covered them. the 20 is thin enough to see them. but not to thin so you lose it in the lamp at night on target
