game_boy
I have to make another batch of 2-stroke for the saw and I have forgotten what the ratio for the mixture is. Can any of you recommend the right mixture ? What quantities do you use for making it up ? Many thanks. Highlander
For what it's worth I use 50/1 but I think it depends on the brand of saw you have. Never make up more than you can use 'cause any left for a long time and that includes in the tank will go off and make starting the saw (b*****) difficult. I know Stihl do little tubes of oil that are the exact mix no doubt others do too but I have a 2 litre plastic can marked with different ratios for all the other 2 stroke tools (toys) I run. Big Dog
I think it 20 oil 80 petrol. If you go to a shop you can buy we bottles just add to a gallon of petrol. I find a full bottle make mine to rich What I do know is pour out all the old stuff. Never use petrol in a chain saw if it is 3 week old or more. You want it as fresh as possible. What are you doing with it?? Adjusting your stock to free float your barrel

HAMMY
Anywhere between 25-1, to 50-1, if it is a bit smokey you've put too much in, I never measure up a mix, I usually just put a dash of oil straight in to the saw, never seized one yet!
