Steyr Mannlicher Model L .243 Broken Stock!

My mate dropped his gun last night and the stock has cracked right through above the trigger. Does anyone know where he can get either a replacement original stock or one made to suit. He paid about £600 for the gun but that included a 100 rounds of ammo at the time so he understandably doesn't want to spend a fortune but he also doesn't want to just have the gun destroyed.

if it's a timber stock it can usually be repaired. Is it snapped right through or just cracked?

It's snapped right through the thinnest part, either side of the mag port and running back on one side all the way over the trigger. He was understandably gutted but I suggested we try this route. You never know maybe a Model L owner out there that put a custom stock on it and is using the old one as a table leg.
