darren m
not cart length , load size , taking into consideration that , it would probably be steel shot ( in which you need to go down a size ) and would be useing an older s/s gun . M ROBSON
Darren, If it is an old s/s then don't fire steel through anything more than half choke. And remember to check the pressure limit on your barrels is up to the task too. This will be the limiting factor on load size. Mark.
henry d
I wouldn`t use steel just because of all the problems associated with it,I would use bismuth or TM unless you are shooting hundreds of duck a season. The two alternatives are more expensive but with the risks involved with choke/old gun and the possibility of breaking your tooth on steel shot birds,IMO are not worth it. Another point is you can use the same shot size(although some go up one size)as you would normally on duck, the last Teal I shot were with 28g no 6 bismuth at 25yds and they are no more, and my teeth are intact too I would recommend 32gm 5`s for flight ponds in bis or tm and 36gm 4`s on the shore.
