togger
Today I had a drive up to some land i've had permission on for about 10 yrs. I don't visit that often nowadays as there's not much on it. It used to be knee deep in rabbits, but the odd hare and fox is all that's left. So I was sat up on the hill watching a buzzard for half an hour, passing the time of day, when I decided to call it a day. I hadn't drove a mile down the road when I saw hundreds of pigeons roosting in a tree, 100yds further down the road and I saw a chap getting into a van on a driveway to another farm. I pulled up and had a few words and asked if he knew who owned the field as there looked like a big pigeon problem over the stubble! "I guess you'll be wanting to shoot on that land then?" he asked!!! Two minutes later and deal done. I'm going up first thing tomorrow to sort (try) his problem out. I'd spent two hours this morning sending letters out to farms in the area with a view to getting some more permissions and then fell over this one. I'll let you know how I get on.
