TonySmith
Not that I have much choice on what I do this weekend...as my all my arrangements seem to be handled by the 'Zabala Kid Outside Functions Inc' so a visit to our permission was the start of my weekend, we immediatey headed to the 'rookery end' after the crows,we made ourselves as inconspicuous as possible in the vegetation. Sport was slow, but it was nice to be out in the sunshine, the kid was enjoying himself having well out of range shots.... but I was impressed with his stance when shooting overhead, he must have been looking at pics on the net..... Around a 1/3 of a box of cartridges, the kid was having problems breaking the gun, it went well stiff, took a quick look but could not work out why, we headed back to base camp for a brew and to meet up with a friend and his son who just arrived, over tea we dismantled the Zabala for closer scrunity, we found a crack on the inside of the R/H barrel chamber which went right round to the top of the barrel. The Kid was a bit miffed about it all, he did not bring his SB Baikal, "Can I use your Lanber Dad" I thought i'll put him off by saying you want to use it, you carry it mate. Wrong...he carried it half a mile back, chatting to my friends son all the way, I was just the cartridge carrier.... Not content with taking my gun, he wanted to use my cartridges.. ah WTH..... it cancelled out his dissapointment about his Zabala going U/S. So a visit to the gunshop next week. I am in the market for a 12g OU for the kid, 27"- 28" fixed choke, single trigger,I'll ask at my Clay Club tomorrow, and if anyone has one knocking around they wish to sell, will travel 60 miles radius of Heathrow Airport. Pic of barrel, I highlighted the crack in P-Shop ATB Tony
